The Village of Sannat, Gozo

Sannat is a quiet village situated only a few miles away from Mgarr harbour, which can be reached by car within ten minutes drive. Various other shops and a few restaurants provide other means of shopping and dining, within walking distance.

Location

St. Anthony Farmhouse is situated in the village of Sannat, very close to neighbouring Munxar village. Within a short walking distance, one finds Senap Cliffs, which, with their rugged and beautiful layout, provide a very interesting walk in the countryside, overlooking the sea. It is also very close to the beautiful bay, Imgarr Ix-Xini, very often the venue for filming by popular film producers. It is also very close to Ta’ Cenc Bay, reached by car within another 15 minutes’ drive and on foot around 45 minutes The beautiful and popular Xlendi Bay, is within the same short distance, accessible through a short-cut, from behind the Munxar Parish Church, through the country-side part of the latter village and can be reached by car within 10 minutes and on foot around 30 minutes.

Guests review praise called the place as marvelous, spacious, comfortable and cozy, which makes you feel at home, in a great location outside the village, which makes it easier however, being out in a quiet area. The place is equipped with air-conditioning in all the bedrooms, WIFI,TV and pool, which is great for summer.

The Farmhouse

The farmhouse has a fresh water swimming pool, separate kitchen, living room with a log fire place, three bedrooms (all air-conditioned) and three bathrooms (one en-suite), as well a two terraces overlooking the pool area. There is also another basement apartment (high windows for light and fresh air) which includes a separate bedroom (air-conditioned), bathroom and sitting/dining room, as well as a small breakfast kitchenette for the sake of convenience. A bed-sitter can accommodate another two children in the same unit – ideal for supervising the young kids. Accessible through the same farmhouse.

The farmhouse overlooks some fields but from the roof, there is a 300 degree view of the island of Gozo, which offers spectacular views, particularly when fireworks are let off from villages around Sannat; not least the major colorful feast of Santa Maria on the 15th August. There is a bus stop just opposite, which takes you to the Victoria centre in 10 minutes.
